Stayed here a couple nights ago on my way through. The owner Max and his wife are the nicest people! Rooms are simple but the big thing is that they're CLEAN! And for a fair price too. Will definitely be returning on my way back through.

My family is from Herbert and we returned for a family reunion. We booked our rooms at the Lone Eagle. This Motel is not a fancy motel but it is a classic. It was rustic, quaint and it took you back in time. We loved it! We loved the country feeling it gave and the hosts were beautiful people. They keep this property very clean, the rooms were very clean and the property was beautifully kept. We had the best sleep in the beds, they were very comfortable. If you remove your expectations of a five star and embrace the comforts of a country Motel, this place exceeded a 5 star. We would definitely stay there again. Oh, and the Hostess, Heidi is an artist and her office area has the most amazing display of her works. I was impressed!

Our family stayed 3 nights with 3 rooms (7 people) as were were visiting family in Herbert. This is a little 60's-style country highway motel, exactly what we were expecting. It was clean, tidy and well cared for and beds were good, The proprietors, Max and Hedy, were friendly, and worked hard to keep us urbanites as happy as they could. That included the first night working for a couple of hours to get the Wi-Fi working (cause you know how much urbanites need their internet!). It turned out it was a cable not plugged in properly by SaskTel after they had serviced it earlier in the day. Not an easy diagnosis, but Hedy figured it out. We recommend this little motel stopover and would go back there anytime. One recommendation I would suggest is putting some coat hooks behind each door for those cold-winter coats.

We spoke to the owners by phone a few days ago and they were lovely...friendly and informative. We can't wait to meet them. We'll be staying there 3 nights with 2 rooms and will update this review after our stay. To be sure, we're not expecting a 5-Star hotel. We're expecting a clean country inn with a bit of a vintage patina and some genuine country-folk hospitality.

I was a musician who played on the road for years and stayed at many different motels and hotels. Me and my family stayed here last summer. Hands down the most friendly owners I've ever met. They were so nice. We were there for a family reunion plus my uncles funeral which was a difficult time for us. Max and his wife both made us feel at home during this difficult time. My thanks to them both! Definitely will be back!

Had a great stay here! Max is such a nice guy, really friendly and helpful, and we had a really good chat. The room was clean and warm with big TV (basic cable, bring your own streaming device) and comfy bed. Dark colored towels instead of white - THANK YOU! Nice place to stay the night for a rest after driving, conveniently located right off the highway. There is a railroad right next to it, wasn't a huge bother for me but if you are a light sleeper it may be something to keep in mind.
